So...of the 902,000 on SNAP in Alabama....how many live in Birmingham? State population is 4.8 million. Basically lets round it, and say 1 out of 5 get food stamps. So...40K?

So 252 out of 40,000

Forgive me if I think tarnishing 40,000 because of 252 of them is a broad brush.
You're the one making straw man arguments. No one has attempted to tarnish all of them.

Yes...yes it does represent that.

Also a great bit of excellent work by the police involved.
I feel confident in saying this is not a small sampling. The system is much more corrupt than we can imagine.

It reminds me of the LBGT narrative. A national crisis over 2-3% of the population. Liberal moonbats love straw men..they thrive on them. Yank all EBT. Establish food stores and make them get food. Cash in hand is drugs in arm.

Our welfare system is being used to fund terrorists in the Middle East ?

HA HA HA HA HA

And didn't the IRS just send over $50 million to Russian hackers via "tax refunds" ?

HA HA HA HA HA

We can't crash soon enough.

Honestly, this is why we need to curtail immigration and definitely not give them welfare.

What happens the next month? The 'welfare' recipient no longer has the card or the monthly income. Does the gov't recharge the card each month? The recipient reports it lost or stolen?
The number of cards reported lost or stolen is outrageous.

The sellers don't give a carp if their kids eat or not, else they would not be selling them for half value.

If I were Queen for a Day, I would permanently remove the kids from offender's homes and cut them off all future benefits.

I would bet the majority of EBT recipients in the Birmingham area are US citizens.

Alabama is one of 4 states with mandatory e- Verify. It tougher to employ an undocumented worker in Alabama than in most states.

I'm all for cutting off all future benefits if someone is caught selling their card. However, I would go after all c-stores that are involved in this practice. If there were investigations in every major market in the US they would likely have similar results.

Look at the map, it's 10 mile spread over Birmingham.

And I have no idea if it is safe to assume who the EBT users are
There is only 11 stores involved with this. I think it's pretty safe assumption, who else would it be?

Shut the whole program down. Then revert everyone requesting food stamps.
