Rumsfeld, who served as Bush's defense secretary from 2001 to 2006, said that removing former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi was a mistake because it destabilized the region, but defended the decision to eliminate Saddam Hussein.
<sigh> I remember the old days when we used to spell the name of the former head of Libya with a K, then a Q. Yes, you are right. Ever so slowly the worms do turn.
Fascinating. This guy was not only a huge cheerleader for the war, he was one of the guys in charge of it. And now he wants to wash his hands of it and push the blame for the disaster off on everyone else.
Republicans squander trillions in Iraq, and soon Iran, but don't want to feed the poor, give healthcare to the elderly, or fix crumbling infrastructure.

He is a pompous fool who never takes responsibility for his mistakes, he is right with his statement but in no position to offer criticism of others particularly since he isn't telling us something we already know.
I became convinced Rummy was a real POS by the arrogance he displayed when a soldier questioned him about the availability of armor they needed.
If that SOB thinks it's just fine to send people off to war ill-equipped and show no concern over it I wish someone would've given him a rifle, a few magazines, and dropped him in the middle of the Iraqi desert.
That's irrelevant to the discussion. Clinton was not lying to a stupid man's ear at the behest of the defense industry. Rummy and Cheney are nothing but both common and war criminals.
