Again, it was. But it doesn't matter what you call it. It is way over the top for a large LE force armed to the teeth to break into somebody's house over unpaid utility bills.
Your post: "Having directly knowledge of this case, it was not the 18-man St Louis County SWAT team that served the warrant. It was a SWAT officer in the lead (who shot the dog), but the rest of the team was regular uniformed officers not in swat gear."
OK, so it was a gang of LE led by a SWAT officer. I guess in your book that justifies the raid. Pathetic.

I got pulled over recently in the town that I live by a SWAT guy for a minor infraction. Yeah I got a ticket, but the dude was quite nice. I stood outside his cruiser BSing with him the whole time as I was smoking a cigarette. Just small talk about the AR15 and the shotgun he had in his cruiser, and other stuff. How long have you lived here, blah blah blah. Much better than the experience with the knucklehead cops by where I work that pulled me over last fall, and wanted to search my car! Nevermind of course I had a good driving record, and no priors! But then again the suburb that I work in is quite well to do, so the cops have nothing better to do I suppose.
As for this story, no reason for this raid to have happened.
Never said it whaz, my good man, never said it whaz.
