Program for International Student Assessment (PISA): 2012 Results - Trends in Student Performance—Trends in U.S Performance
Shows a decline from 607 to 600 for the top students..same graph as in my link.
Our SAT tests also underwent recalibration because scores were declining.

I'm not saying that Common Core is all bad.
There are parts I don't agree with.

It's more along the lines of who you follow..Piaget or Vygotsky regarding how children learn.

Prove it. The homosexual agenda is a leftist program all the way. Its entire purpose is to undermine and destroy the moral foundations of this republic. It is evil with a capital H.

The increase in size and scope of government has been steady since the 1930's regardless of party.

The big stories, it seems to me, are the financialization of the economy and the ongoing death of Anglo-America.
That would be called genocide if it were any one else but white people.

You have a fair point, but it's hard to draw any conclusions from so few data points, especially when you consider that there are bigger swings within the dataset outside of any of common core influences. (2003-2006 had a considerable drop)

Learning subtraction the old fashioned way (the way dad did it) first results in kids just following rote steps. The number line asks them to think about the concept. First go back 300, then go back 10, then go back 6. Kids are NOT miniature adults. The child is also being asked to THINK about the problem and explain what the other student did wrong. I love this problem. We need more like it.
The other student didn't do anything wrong. He got the correct answer, which is 111!

And Ronald Reagan ran a campaign promise to end the Dept. of Ed. Instead he made it bigger.

Seems to me that Common Core is dumbing down students and the only supporters of it are Obamatons.

Life must be so tough for you. I can't imagine going through every day feeling like such a victim.

There is nothing accurate about Common Core, it is all about making kids "feel good" because they can go through a "process" without ever getting the correct answer. It is typical leftist gobbledygook, symbolism without substance.

I learned it from the black people. Too many of them still think that they are slaves and that I "own" them just because I am white.
