This is exactly the dismissive and selfish mentality that I speak of. For people like you, it's as simple as looking away and not having a care in the world. You seem to think that it's as simple as turning off the tv and turning your back.
In the commercial on the upcoming show, the son specifically breaks down saying "I'm trying to grow up to become a man while my dad is becoming a woman. But in your selfish and dismissive mind, it really doesn't matter and we should simply go about living our lives without a care.
Another issue is the preservation of the rights movement. I am all for identity rights but when you start to impose and flood the gates with your movement so quickly, it doesn't allow people to internalize and process the cause. It then opens up the gates for ridicule and unnecessary criticism. We have gotten away from the filter feature in speech.
But I am wasting my time because you absolutely don't give a crap. Matter of fact, I am sure you want me to turn off the tv during te presidential debates as well...

It's certainly becoming more difficult to do in this rapidly changing digitized world. We as a Society have easy access to media outlets using everyday devices such as phones, tablets, etc. Unless of course, you're living under a rock or in the Amish country.
No prediction here but all all this is happening too quickly. Whatever happened to our integrity and to preserve culture and norm? Nothing wrong with any of this and I respect the right to free speech and now "feel". But I really think this "why does it matter" mentality is going too far. We need to step back and assess the long term impact. It's fine for a person to identify with a certain culture or sex but having prime time tv reality shows with Bruce aka Caitlin, Ryan seacrest producing a show with a father of 3 now becoming a mom, white woman identifying as black... This is a bit too much too quickly.
"They" must have moved the schedule up.
