One of the best ways for the pope to fight global warming is to allow his followers to use birth control, encouraging global over population they way the Vatican has for so long contributed greatly to the problem.

I realize that they consider themselves to be Christian. But their not. They do not practice Biblical Christianity. That's why we had a Reformation. And they haven't changed their ways to this day.

Examples:
  1. The Catholic Mass. They sacrifice Christ over and over again. But Christ died ONCE for all for all time.
  2. The priesthood. Christ did away with that.
There are many other things wrong with Catholicism, including the unbiblical "purgatory" and praying for your dead relatives. Once theyre dead, prayers can't help them. If they didn't know Christ in life, they are in Hell.

Judging by what I've read here, a whole lot of people call themselves Christians who don't live according to the teachings of Christ. Gandhi said it best--"I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

While you quibble about dogma and ceremony, you overlook what's important--the way people follow or don't follow the actual teachings of Christ. You know, all that stuff about loving one another and not judging or casting the first stone. And all of that is taught in Catholicism. But hey, if the dogma is more important than the teaching....well, I guess that speaks for itself.

Catholics, however, don't care what you think. They follow the teaching of Christ and are therefore Christians, despite your disapproval.

We had two consecutive great Popes. Frank's time will pass. He's a South American socialist and a disaster. It is what it is.

I don't know if the pope is a chemist or not (where did you get that from?), but chemistry is not climate science, and the climate "science" that is the basis for the "global warming" hoax is nothing more than computer models that have been invalidated. Garbage in = garbage out. It's been proven to be a fraud from the email scandal of a few years ago, and the phony "peer review" of their work.

Ever heard of "archeology?" It has proven much of the Bible to be historically accurate. So, the problem with what you call "real scientists," is that by discrediting the Bible record, all of their conclusions about origins, and even climate science start with a wrong premise. Their conclusions, therefore, cannot be trusted.

Roman Catholicism is NOT Christianity! It is Catholicism. Period. And Christianity is NOT "mired in the Dark Ages." It is a myth that in the 21st Century man is more "civilized" and has "progressed" in some way. We have not progressed at all, but are becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah, uncivilized, rife with debauchery and every kind of evil.
Are you really saying that Roman Catholics are not Christians?

Not that I'm a fan of the Catholic Church, but at least the Pope has a Masters degree in chemistry and has a clue about science.

No. That's completely illogical.

Scientists base their conclusions on evidence. When the evidence is overwhelming, there is usually a consensus about the basics.

Yes he apparently has a degree in Chemistry but he is not claiming to be a climate scientist. He is advised by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences (about 80 scientists from all around the world from a range of scientific fields). Global warming is based on empirical evidence as well as physics and chemistry, not just computer models. The science behind the 'greenhouse' effect and global warming goes back long before computers were even invented. Your evidence-free tabloid conspiracy claims are garbage.

No. It hasn't.

So any science that you think conflicts with the Bible is automatically 'wrong' in your view? I gather you don't accept evolution either? And you believe the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve were real? How old do you think the earth is by the way?

Without the Church of Rome spreading it by force back then, Christianity probably wouldn't even exist.
