Please do not forget that it was the belief in God, Christianity in particular, that allowed our ancestors to survive the day to day horrors of slavery and Jim Crow; It was the belief in God, Christianity in particular, that guided the leadership and strengthened the protesters during the Civil Rights Movement that allows us to have the freedoms we do today.
I disagree, Christianity was used by Slave Owners (many of them preachers) in order to justify slavery and rationalize beating slaves.
