Perhaps those who are so easily offended by a television commercial should watch less television.

Who's surprised that this caused outrage among some people? Would they even consider a "Happy Mothers day, Dad" commercial without expecting the feminists to get up in arms about it? They should replace the marketing genius who came up with this idea before their next commercial.

Forget the commercial. To all you Wonderful Fathers out there, Have the most Wonderful Father's Day that you can. Have the most wonderful day with your families.

I don't watch much TV, I just saw this commercial online. Maybe next year they can have a mom on welfare who doesn't know who the fathers are talking about how she is both mom and dad.

Actually I was worried this was some type of homosexual thing where one of the "moms" would be in the fathers role, or visa versa. Sadly now days these type of weird scenarios can occur.

I am with Delhany(sp) that moms have their day and fathers have theirs. I would think it just as weird to have a commercial on Mothers Day thanking dads.

Good try, no cigar.

The company put on an ad with blubbering women and no product tie-in for Fathers Day to elicit a response. Tough buns if that response isn't what they expected.

Memo to Angel Soft: A few years ago, an ad ran showing a smiling dad and his smiling young son, sitting on a porch swing, enjoying the company's product in complete silence while listening to a baseball game on a radio in the background. Fadeout to Happy Fathers Day on the screen.

That's how you do an effective ad.

That'll probably be their commercial next year.
