another mass hooting, a tragedy in any country but for american its business as usually.

gun control is doomed for the following reasons:

no cultural incentive to stop guns-lets face it we love guns, to criticize guns is about as anti american as you can get, and you cant pass laws if they go against the culture. we kill 3 times more people every year with guns that al-qaeda killed us on sept 11th and yet if you say 'gun control' you're labeled an enemy of the state.

no economic incentive-every time there is a mass shooting all the gun nuts go on a feeding frenzy and sales of guns go up. manufacturers distibutors, retailer, all benefit from these shooting, except for the victims and their families, everyone benefits.

ethnic cleansing-lets face it as long blacks take the brunt of the shooting, we will always love guns, dont believe me, try studying american history, this country has a long a healthy history of ethnic cleansing.

power of lobbyist-even if 99% of americans want to ban guns, laws are governed by companies and lobbyists, and the gun lobby is very powerful.

useless-all of the shootings in the last few years were done with guns that were purchased legally, and guns laws wouldnt have any good.

our war on drugs has proven that even when you ban something, it just goes underground, if you banned the sale of all guns tomorrow, do you really think there would be one less gun sold in this gun crazy country??

The other issue is, criminals will still find a way to get guns. That is the real problem.

You can't get these anti-gunners to see that. They still think a fleeing Bank Robber stops for all Stop Signs, and obeys speed limits.

The ones we have do not even work. Take Registration, as one example. They all want it, but no one can come up with one single scenario of how it may save a Life. Not one...

Goes back to the old saying "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns".

And without gun laws they cannot be punished for getting those guns. Or do you prefer it be made easy for criminals to arm themselves?

The fact is they usually plea down and gun charges are rarely charged against them.
