I know that the south is very proud. Many of the southerners are so frustrated right now because many of the southern states are removing the flag.. Do you think it will start another civil war?

Not that many southerners. Lots are happy about it. (Me included)

I think this will cause a little grousing. Not much more.

I just think it was time to remove them from government spaces...over 100 years ago. If someone wants to fly 'em, whatever, it's easier to spot the below-80 IQ crowd that way, especially up north. I'm all for the freedom of citizens to display any sort of flag or design they wish. Just think it's been a constant slap in the face to minorities and the rest of the country to continue to fly it at a state capital, for example.

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. But it's also my freedom to privately discriminate against those who are flying the "Stars and Bars" because of "m-muh heritage!"

I don't think it'll cause a civil war though. As much as people in America say they would die for something, most people are too coddled and scared to die for a cause, especially if the cause is "muh flag".

That is, quite possibly, one of the silliest notions I've ever heard.

It's pretty ridiculous as it is that Confederate flags have been officially flown on any state capitol grounds until now.
