So rainbows can't just be rainbows anymore? Now all images of rainbows are representative of gay people?
I'm annoyed at the constant appropriation of basic imagery and words by the left. The other day I was driving down Gaywood Dr and I thought, "You know, there was a time when the name of this street had a much more innocent meaning."

I feel the same for the words wrecked by conservatives:

No, the "rainbow" symbol isn't inclusive. It is offensive to those that chose to be offended by it. Exactly the same as the Confederate battle flag.
You can chose to be offended by whatever you want, but that doesn't mean it is going to make any sense. There is nothing more than symbolism of diversity associated with a rainbow, while a Confederate flag is a symbol of slavery, treason, racism and oppression. Same as the Swastika in most respects.
If you cannot discern the differences between these three flags, that is not anyones fault but your own.
Personally, I have no problems with ANY flags (rainbow, confederate, etc, etc) I don't have problems with swastika either.
Intention, to me, is everything.
If a neo nazi wears a swastika, he or she gives that symbol evil meaning. If a white supremacist flies confederate flag and at the same time, claims this is his heritage, I would say, "Hey at least own your behavior."
If a Hindu wears swastika, I would refrain from calling her or him neo nazi. If a southerner wears a confederate flag bell buckle, and treats everybody with respect and gives everybody human dignity we all deserve, then I would just say, he perhaps considered confederate flag his southern heritage. (I choose to give people benefits of the doubt).
I think gays and lesbians should be treated with respect, and basic human decency. Flying rainbow flag on special occasions, go right ahead.
