Do you see the GOP anywhere in that case title? Of course you don't, because it is not there. If you do, then quit dropping acid.

The Arizona State Legislature is in the hands of a Republican majority. They are the ones who brought the suit.

Happy to connect the dots for you, since you seem unable to do so yourself.

Because the OP did not care about whether it was democratic or republican that brought the suit, the GOP happened to be the party that brought the suit. This was a victory for all voters but you drone on that it wasn't in the title, please.

The funny thing here is that you thought you were making an ironic comment about me and conservatives but what you really did was simply reinforce my comment about the left. Because when it was the left that was doing the gerrymandering there was no outcry against it from the right. So the fact that the conservative judges dissented in this case says absolutely zero about conservative partisanship.

So sorry, but you made no point whatsoever.

The suit was appealed to SCOTUS by the Arizona State Legislature. As you can see in the following rosters there are quite a few Democrats in both the State Senate and State HOR. Your thread title is completely and utterly wrong.

It is nominally controlled by the citizens of Arizona. However, the people have not held power in this country for a long time. Both major parties are corrupt and beholden to the real power structure. Democracy exists to inhibit change.

Somewhere in that twised logic I'm sure you believe you made a point.

Both sides have been gerrymandering for a long time now, and it needs to stop. Someone upthread posted a picture of a Chicago district. I'm from Chicago, and find it appalling. But hey, feel free to carry on with your partisan rant...

In Chicago, vote early, vote often, and vote Democrat, especially if you are dead

Anyone want to guess who dissented? It's been a bad month for Republicans.
Every party brings the other to court everytime districts are redrawn. nothing new here.

If not for gerrymandering Pelosi and Reid and shelia jackson lee , et al would never be re-elected.
