The NY cop had EVERY reason to suspect Sweat was armed; Matt was.

Hmm Armed or unarmed doesn't seem to matter unless you are of lighter skin gendra...Running, driving or walking or hey just answering one's door> IF black mean's YOU are a threat..See the huge difference...Mass killers, killers of cops and others who happen to have lighter skin always seem to be captured alive..But those others...NOT SO MUCH!!
MATT was a felon on the Run but he WAS shot in the HEAD (x3) ( kill shots) but then again he was drunk and had a shotgun.....Hummmm so Had to shoot..

I searched the net for a t-shirt with no luck. Couldn't find a bumper sticker and the black caucus failed to stand with their hands up don't shoot pose. No violent protests. Days??? they just got the guy.
CBS didn't alter the tapes and the Shrapton circus never left the barn.
So - the guy in SC was told to stop too. He was running from a cop, which means he was an escaping felon too. I know the laws - I TEACH this stuff - but I thought it would be interesting to get the public opinion on the two events - and how media perception skews events.
Really there is no difference, both ran from the law and could be a threat to others.

Ok, so one white guy is killed and one white guy is taken alive. What is your point? Shall we just dismiss the white guy who was killed?
If Sweat had been black, that officer would still have tried not to kill him. I'm sure the word was put out to try to take the remaining escapee alive in order to get information out of him. Would not have mattered whether the guy was white or black, brown, or yellow.
However, I do agree with you that blacks seem to be shot at (and killed) in far greater numbers that whites. I'm not disputing that.

How would the other cop have know what the guy did? How would he know the guy didn't murder someone and that's why he ran. cops are not mind readers are they? so how would he know? see I can do it too.
