Well the life sentence you get for murder is going to trump the extra year you will get for breaking and entering. But if it makes you feel good, then we can add on the extra year for fun.

The same goes for an illegal murdering someone in the US. Does that make more sense?

What? So add 5 years to murder and rape charges and that will somehow detour people from coming to the US? What about those that don't plan on raping or murdering people, will it detour those people as well?

Also, adding 5 years to any prison sentence, how exactly will that prevent murders from happening? Face it, we already have the laws in place and don't need additional feel good laws that are only duplicates of the laws we currently have.

And those laws do so much good when ignored at will by sanctuary cities and orders from the feds restricting border patrol and ICE.

Only defended your favorite group as being violent because they are alleged victims so of course they act out in a criminal fashion. Always someone else's fault.

Depending on the crimes they commit while here, yes. The rest should be promptly deported, as the law says.

Actually murder laws and such still apply even in sanctuary cities....legal Americans or illegals murder someone, they are probably going to prison for a very long time.

It appears this law will die in committee, most congressmen see that this won't do anything but add to the prison population but they are walking the line because of the publicity.

Meanwhile..... All violent crime is up 20-35% in sanctuary cities. The only statistic that has been lower, is murder rates. Rape and assaults are up 50% in some cities, where illegal aliens are a special class, with rights no American has.
