Two parts to your post. So you get two different posts.
Regarding the removal of the flag and it's connection to those murders. Here is reality
removing a flag that is a symbol of anti black racism flying on a statehouse building with black people protesting for decades for its removal because it was placed there in 1962 in opposition to black civil rights is the honest reason people wanted the flag removed for decades, not just now, but for decades.
It took the death of nine black South Carolinans by a white supremacist correctly using the symbolism of the flag for conservatives to be shamed and forced to finally do the right thing.
That's the truth of how the removal of the flag is related to the murders. It took those murders for the naked racism of the confederate flag to be so out there that even conservatives who generally love or at least tolerate symbols of anti black racism to be shamed into at least removing it from the building.

If any politician came out and said well republicans are rapists and criminals, and then used rapes and murders committed by individual conservatives as proof, everyone would understand what that person is doing, slandering conservatives as rapists and criminals.
No one would use the idiotic defense well some conservatives are rapists and criminals, that the person is just going after the conservatives who are illegally breaking the law not all conservatives.
Because the statement that some human beings are rapists and criminals has no offensive meaning.
Because we know it's true. It's apart of the condition of being human. Meaning criminal behavior is apart of human behavior.
When you say x,y,z group are rapists and criminals, you are directly saying that criminal behavior is a condition of being a member of x, y, z group.
That by saying Mexican immigrants are rapists and criminals, that person is saying that being a rapist and a criminal is a condition of being Mexican. They are connecting criminal behavior to ethnicity. If not then what's the point.
This is a fundamentally racist appeal that trump was making and everyone gets that's the point he was making.
The racist point that being a Mexican immigrant is a condition of being a rapist and a criminal.

What I find truly sad is how you people try and defend illegals.... speaks volumes.
We don't defend illegal immigration. We speak out against untrue stereotypes and the attempt to demonize brown people with distorted information.
We are FOR comprehensive immigration reform which includes e-verify, a secure border, immediate deportation of any illegal with a criminal record and a path to permanent residency for the rest. SB744 passed by the bi-partisan Senate 68-32 is a perfect example of what we stand for.
It's that path to permanent residency for the rest, is what makes a right wing conservative's hemorrhoids grow an inch a week, now doesn't it?
Sigh. Both are wrong, its nice to see something done about one of them, but to be honest the one brought up by the OP is a larger issue. By definition every single illegal immigrant starts off their stay by committing a crime.
