America has always been a melting pot, where people assimilated, but what bound us together was an American identity first and foremost. That identity is what's lacking now.
Progressives have torn up American identity and thrown out the melting pot and replaced it with 'multiculturalism' . It should instead be called multicolonialism.
Being an American is not about a language or a skin color, it's about belief in a set of values and ideas ... and those values and ideas transcend race and language.
And I disagree completely. You believe 12% or less of the population should dominate the rest? US culture was largely model after the British and other European culture. You should know that.
When it was just 12% it didn't matter. Thanks to the Bolsheviks who lied to the people while passing their 65 immigration policy it is no longer 12%. They go around today bragging about how non white their cities are. Disgraceful.

Yes and progressive libs are Bolsheviks. That explains why they are so virulently anti-European. Soviets and liberal zionist pump out anti-Europeanism constantly.
I'll tell you, I have never been against the Jewish or anyone else. But the Hart-Cellar Act (Immigration Act of '65) was one of the policies put together and pushed by Emmanuel Cellar an Ashkenazi (who are genetically equivalent to a mestizo claiming he's Amerindian or a pure Spaniard) who worked for 40 years in Congress to change the US demographics. Facts are facts and it's important to identify what is motivating progressive liberals and it is predominately anti-European racism, communism and zionism.
some do, some don't. same as always. I don't have a problem with people who want to come here and not assimilate to our culture. I have a problem with people who want me to assimilate to theirs. you can order in spanish all you want, but if I don't understand you, TS.
Exactly. Although I feel that they should assimilate to some extent while sharing their culture at the same time. No one is forcing you or I to learn Spanish... and that's fine.
Of course. I am talking about non-English speakers that are demanding that US born and raised people speak their language in public life.
Almost no one has that expectation. Just like how the United States is not demanding that immigrants speak English, those who don't speak English are not demanding we speak their language -- generally speaking.

If you live in a border city that is in the service industry including doctors and dentists, you better learn to speak Spanish if you expect to be hired.

Multiculturism is our identity.
