But hey, if you support a guy like that, knock yourself out, fortunately the country won't have to deal with him.
Bill Clinton was a draft dodger. He used every connection he could to weasel out of serving.
Obama could have volunteered to serve in the first Gulf War (1991) but did not.
Democrats definitely win the prize when it comes to not serving their country in the armed forces.
Republicans?
Eisenhower served, Nixon served, Ford served, Reagan served, G.H.W. Bush served, G.W. Bush served.
Since WW2 the following Democrats served as well , Harry Truman, Adlai Stevenson, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, Mike Dukakis, Al Gore Jr., John F. Kerry. What's your point?

That was the draft era. Today, most leftists would be too scared to serve in the military.

Do you seriously believe everyone in the military today are conservative Republicans? I have family members in the service who would prove you wrong. Painting with a broad brush never works and is grossly unfair to a lot of people. It also makes it difficult to judge your intelligence very high. The Right does not have a monopoly on patriotism.

There are always exceptions to a rule. If you don't know that I find it difficult to judge your intelligence very high.
The vast majority of military members since the draft ended are conservatives.
