The answer is those jobs are taken by illegal immigrants. Look around your community -- the least educated and youngest used to work in construction, landscaping, food service, hotel service, car wash, --look around at who's taking those jobs now. Only 5% of immigrants work in agriculture now......

I believe his Lincoln comment was in reference to finding an alternative to ending slavery without war, as many historians have also criticized Lincoln for not doing.
