Their cause is obvious.
Gays already spend too much time defending themselves against religious zealots so what makes you think they would fund kooks like Westboro?

I am the writer of the OP. I wish I had the ability to write so I could explain how Baptists are not who you think many of us are. But, let me say this, please. I don't think most Baptists judge people, we leave that to God and only to God. What we do point out is what we believe is an action of sin. Whether it be murder, theft, adultery, greed, jealousy, or whatever, most Baptists believe that every sin is forgivable by God. To me there is no difference in homosexual sin or heterosexual sin to God. I don't think God ranks sin by a quanitative value.
I can never criticise a person for sinning, but I can criticise the action. Often well meaning people wind up unable to separate the difference.
In ending, I can only say that I have never known of a person who lived their life in a Christ-centered manner regretting that life on their death bed. I just wish I had the words to explain the life that I know so people will not misunderstand.
PS, I happen to have been a member of a church with a Mickey Mouse clock in the fellowship area. We truly try to love all people, just hate the sins we and everyone might have committed.
