It's what many college students do so their resume looks good upon graduation and they get some experience under their belt.

I know that but...
Let Bernie and his minions find out a company is hiring interns on the cheap or not paying them at all. What do you suppose the response would be?

Clinton's no different. She could have easily had her staff put in their contracts that vendors working at her events must pay their employees a minimum of $15 an hour, but that would have meant the vendors would charge her campaign more, and why should she have to pay that much?

Have you ever heard of internships ?

It's what college students do during the summer or for one semester to get experience and buff up their resumes.

Internships are done in all areas of business.

These are college kids in school, most likely being supported by their parents so any money they get from internships is spending money.

I've had plenty of interns work under me during the summer months at my corporate job (software engineer). They are NOT hurting for money.

How the Senate Exploits Unpaid Interns
Barely a third of U.S. senators pay their interns -- and embarrassingly for Democrats, a party focused on workplace welfare, most of them are Republicans.

How Congress Gets Away with Not Paying Its Interns

That's exactly what I was going to say. Hillary Clinton for example pays interns NOTHING.
Most Senators are also Multi-Millionaires. Bernie is not, which I suppose is why he is being attacked.

When the going rate is NOTHING, $12 per Hour is actually excellent pay for an intern.

I'm sure Bernie would pay his full-time employees at least $15 per Hour if he had or needed to hire any.

It's sad how people have seemingly been trained to take down/bad mouth one of the only Non-Millionaires and "regular guys" in Congress-Bernie Sanders.

Go ahead, keep blowing the rich for all I care! You people are hopeless.

Retreat is a viable option when losing the battle.

So you are promoting temporary servitude in the hopes of receiving some sort of unquantifiable perk that may or may not be received at some point in the future?

So exploitation is fair if it's only temporary?
