Oh yes, it's very selfish, greedy and liberal to think bragging about one's charitable contributions is gauche.
I don't feel I was bragging about anything. I simply answered the question. I , certainly, don't feel what I try and do to help people, people lime myself, gives me any cause, at all, to brag, or gives me any cause to claim any high ground over any one. Eslecklh using political opinions as a basis. My politics don't factor in to anything I do, to try and help others. So.done recovering from a serious, life changing injury doesn't care about who you voted for.
I don't take any personal pride in what I do, in that regard, either. No feeling of satisfaction, no warm and fuzzy feelings. Its pretty sad, all in all. See some pretty bad stuff. I have made some friends , staff at the hospital, that are probably the best thing k game away from it all. Much as people complain, even me, at times, about health care, there are some damn fine folks in the field.
Why do we have to toot our own horn just to prove a point? I think it's ridiculous. I do things for others because I WANT to, not so that someone on a forum can deem me "an acceptable, caring Conservative" or not.
well give it a rest then. It is not a tacky thread.
Oh it absolutely is. The fact that you feel compelled to brag and "look at me" with your "assistance" is extremely tacky. Help if you want, but you don't go bragging to the world about it, even if they ask you.
