If the article is accurate - the US spent $300,000,000.00 of tax payer money to help Muslims in the West Bank avoid interest on mortgages?!?!

No lender is denying Muslims mortgages because they are Muslims. Muslims are choosing not to get the mortgage and could still buy the house through saving.

We aren't talking about a situation where Obama is forcing Christians to buy things against their morals.

If banks, without special tax payer dollars, want to offer a different option that Muslims find acceptable, but is open to ALL people of ALL religions (or lack thereof) that is fine. None of this liberal special treatment for preferred groups crap.

And that is wrong, right? Anything a bank offered would have to be open to anyone. Now IMO if someone wanted to start an investment business up that dealt with only Muslims I would care less.

Would there be those who would have conniptions if someone did the same concerning Christians? Most likely but just because they are control freaks doesn't mean I should be the same way.

There's money to be made in providing these bonds, a good capitalist would jump at the chance.
How is money made if there is no interest?

Talk about "creeping Sharia," and here is a good example. City politicians and planners are actively suggesting that lenders offer loans for a home purchase to Muslims without having interest attached to the repayment of the loan.

What happened to Separation of Church and State? Oh, that must only be for Christians.

It doesn't apply to Islam/Muslims.

Infact the Leftists are willing to bend over backwards for this one group.

What is the difference between a restaurant that says they will only serve blacks with carry-out food taken from the back alley and a bank that will only give certain loans to Muslims?

Keep in mind the Civil Rights Act of 1964 says that you can't give preferential treatment or discriminate based on race AND religion.

Who said these institutions are offering these loans only to muslims? I haven't run across that.

If they are restricting them this way, you'd be right - it would be illegal discrimination.
