Absolutely.

Cruz can be his running mate if he works hard.

Default I don't see what you see.

I don't see this. What I see is republicans wanting to undermine the public school system with private schooling, by transferring money out of the public system to religious institutions, and private schools for the wealthy. So in my mind their voucher system, in practice is not for universally educating the masses at all.

Their track record on higher education isn't very good either or, like most western countries, we'd have colleges that were free if you could pass the entrance exam. Instead, republicans argue against helping students with their school debt interest rates.

But try again, the republicans must be good at something besides wining about the President.

Pretty much after every point you could hold up a Swedish flag and then briefly correct her about how socialist Sweden is happier, better educated, higher GDP per capita, higher average wage, minimal wealth inequality, etc...

She's young. Instead of hanging out at CPAC she should be traveling the world and learning about our amazing world.

Her fist stop should be Stockholm.
Stockholm? Why not Caracas or Managua?

It's just the standard "red meat" talking points and that extreme conservatives eat up, but nothing really new or interesting. I guess I don't understand the allure of CPAC - it's just a string of people saying the same things over and over. How excited can you get after a while?

She even said she's a "Mitt Romney girl". She certainly got off on the wrong foot. Fox News tends to use hot blondes to deliver their message. Genuinely curious - do you know why their audience wants political views from that demographic? Is it the Texas cheerleader motif?
Everytime conservatives hear the same old stuff from an unusual source they get a collective woody. Doesn't matter if they are black, latino or female the talking points and blather is the same crap the GOP has been peddling since the 80s.

But in this case it's not new. She's younger than most but attractive blondes have emerged as the mouthpiece of choice for conservative talking points.

I'm wondering if it's a subtle (or not so subtle) way of projecting an Aryan race ideal. Either way, the standard blonde anchor look has a very strong Southern college feel to it, so it has to be something cultural they're drawn to that the rest of us don't see.

It's just odd to me a woman like this, with literally every privilege a human could imagine, is getting preachy about it to others. She will never have to work or open a door for at least a good 20 years, if she doesn't want to.

That's a rather sexists statement.
(turning on dumbness)
So, can she like, have some, like, guy, like take care of her because she's so, so... uh you know, she's like, beautiful?'

She is a very beautiful woman - and, she's only 22 years old... so the indoctrination of the public school system didn't stick to her very well... but your statement about not having to work for a good 20 years based on (as it appears) her looks, is sexist.

Not actually sexist. It's just true. If she wanted, she could find someone to take care of her pretty easily. It has nothing to do with her actuwl intelligence; just how society works.

Obviously she won't do that and is building a brand for herself but there's some fixation with attractive blondes that permeates the conservative media culture and I'm trying to understand why.

I had never noticed it before, but you are right about the Southern sorority vibe and conservative women. Conservative men do seem to have a fetish for the bleached blonde Barbie types that wear a ton of makeup. It is not my thing at all, but I don't watch Fox News all the time either.

I suspect it has something to do with the aging working class white demographic that is the main audience for stuff like CPAC and Fox News. These conservo-Barbies represent their idealized version of the woman that they could never get in real life. All they have to do is turn on Fox News or another conservative media source and right there everyday is some hot blonde validating their beliefs 100% and telling them how smart they are. It does seems like the attractive female with far right wing views that loves to hunt and fish is an enduring conservative male fantasy.

"Eviscerate"?

I am a glad to see that Fox News has a farm system of so so looking blonde women with tons of makeup, who are not particularly bright.
