Maybe. Then again, he may be a decent shot, but has never practiced under pressure. Its not as easy as all that, when the adrenaline pumps up. That's a critical part of defensive training. One , often, overlooked. Competition is a good way to learn to overcome stress. It helps. I remember well, the early days of competing. Learning to blank out the things that don't matter.

A quote from The Last Samurai comes to me. "To many mind. Mind the sword, mind the people watching..mind your enemy. To many mind. NO MIND." It takes a lot of practice. Few can actually master it. They usually end up teaching. That's a good thing. More people should avail themselves of them. Yon don't have to spend a lot of money for a school, either. Just go to competitions. Entry fees are pretty inexpensive, and you will get good instruction, from experienced people, as a first time participant.

This is a guy who couldn't hit water falling out of a boat. One could have engaged him with a water gun and still managed to "distract" him, if he wasn't already distracted enough.

If the suspect was a better shot, the brother would have been dead before he it the floor. No time to ever pull out his concealed weapon. This story is moot. The only thing it shows is that if the bad guy is the worst shot in the world, then your concealed weapon may come in handy.

Though it looks more like a good guy with a gun turned into a bad guy with a gun when an argument got heated and he turned to the gun to help him in the argument.
How? McCary went BACK into his house....after firing his gun...

Is your reading comprehension a little off tonight?
