Well I would've thought that not performing well in academia would be frowned upon, especially from the left. Then again I grew up in a statistically educated, wealthy (and very liberal ) area outside of DC (and still do) and the vocational opportunities weren't often encouraged.

Nothing wrong with Europe, we can learn alot from them about treating their poor, their workers and healthcare

They probably have much better popular music than us currently as well

Every European country actually has a lower corporate tax rate than the US and most are a lot more strict about illegal immigration. In no European country do illegal aliens get in-state tuition. Except the UK, there's also very little political correctness regarding Arabs and Muslims like there are here with cities giving the Muslims school holidays and designating special prayer rooms for Muslims while Christians are not allowed to publicly pray. Also many European countiries have an official state religion like the Anglican Church in the UK and the Catholic Church in Italy. Many European nations do NOT have gay marriage, and even in liberal France gay adoptions are illegal and many countries like Germany and Ireland have stricter abortion laws than here where the liberals and Democrats continue to blindly support Planned Parenthood and abortion on demand.

The liberals and Democrats want America to be MORE liberal than Europe.

They are practically giving houses away in Sicily.

Free houses in Italy. Hurry they are going fast.
You do realize that the areas of Europe which are better than the U.S. (UK, France, Netherlands, Scandinavia, are growing rapidly). Either way, I still think that we ought to fix this culture less redneck hellhole of a country and turn it into the kind of civilized place that decent people would actually enjoy living in (and not the territorial animals who do).

And it's better than the Uncivilized right-wing crap we had here before.

Furthermore, of course it would be popular amongst people in the university system. After all, they are the ones who are actually intelligent, and have to use their heads more frequently on a day to day basis.

You want the country to have fewer blue collar people working outdoors?

Civilized..... hmmm.... lets think of civilized things...... like insulting people (on the internet no less, not man enough to do it to someones face) because they think different than you.

Yup, you sure are civilized compared to others

Who are "they"? Which particular "freedom" have you ever lost?

First off, I did not say i was Civilized. This place (and yes I agree with you on Richmond) drives me insane.

Second off, I think you and I have a very different definition of Redneck. What I mean by Redneck is the type of Right winger (usually voting against his/her own interest) who has an undeniable hard on for America, thinks Liberals, and Europeans are a bunch of Lazy wimps, drives an unneeded Jacked up truck that gets gallons to the mile (usually with a tea party license plate), and oftentimes is an overly religious zealot.

Now I Don't think that a simple working class American is anything bad at all, and I want to make that point VERY distinct here. I know plenty of them whom I can certainly respect on any level.

Move to a white city. It'll probably be similar to a white European country. Why dislike "rednecks" that vote republican when blacks that vote democrat populate some of the worst cities in America?
