Denver discusses fluoride in public water

"And a local member of the board opposed to fluoridated water said he doesn't think it's the government's business to medicate the public."

Honestly I could careless what you all let others medicate you with, I use reverse osmosis and a distiller for my tap water.

Good for Denver. Many municipalities are realizing we have been lied to. I use reverse osmosis too for the water in my house.

Israel the Latest Country to Ban Water Fluoridation

It makes no sense to mass-medicate the public water supply with industrial waste fluoride for "dental health reasons" when only 1% of public water is used for drinking and even reaches our teeth in the first place. Even the water and fluoride that does reach the teeth is then swallowed and ingested, which is harmful for our mind and bodies.

I agree. If you want fluoride, put it in your toothpaste, not the water.

Exactly-and if you want even more fluoride, get supplements. The public water supply should be as pure as possible.

Yeah. I don't necessarily think tap water should be distilled water, some of the minerals in water are good and distilling is expensive, but I don't think they should be dumping stuff in there if its not in there.

One of my neighbors works for he water district and knows the problem but cities mandate it . the thing to do is to pressure the city into disallowing fluoride from being added to the water.

most other coutries do use fluoride...many in salt, and milk

many of the bottled waters are also fluorinated

israel chose not to ADD fluoride, becuase their water is naturally fluorinated
Quote:
Mekorot, Israel's national water company states, "In the South of the country, it is unnecessary to add fluoride because it is found naturally in the water."[20] Water fluoridation was introduced in Israel's large cities in 1981, and a national effort to fluoridate all the country's water was approved in 1988.[21]

denmark...water already high in natural fluordie level
finland...water OVERHIGH in natural fluoride level
france...about 1/3 of the water is naturaly high in flouride, and they have fluorinated salt
switzerland..fluoride provide through salt

Israel stopped fluoriding the water because the Health Minister described it as an infringement on personal rights. It was also a matter of practicality-only 2% of water is used for drinking so it makes no sense to mass-medicate the whole water supply for "dental health". This is true not only in Israel but everywhere.

Why don't you educate yourself and read the statements straight from The Health Minister of Israel?

"On July 29, 2013, the Supreme Court of Israel ruled that Israel must stop adding fluoride into public water supplies in one year, following a a decision on fluoride’s potential toxicity to humans by the Israeli health minister.

German acknowledged that the naturally occurring element is beneficial in preventing dental decay, but strongly defended her position in a letter to a medical group, writing that “doctors have told me that fluoridation may harm pregnant women, people with thyroid problems and the elderly.

She added that fluoridation is an infringement on personal rights and, furthermore, unreasonable considering that only 2 percent of tap water is used for drinking.”
