Single, late 50's woman needs safe, inexpensive house in Red Oak, TX area (rating, important)

I'm hoping to start my life over, yet again, in the Red Oak/Lancaster/Duncanville, TX area. Does anyone have any info on a rental house ($800-1,000, @ least 2 bedrooms) in a SAFE area w/in 15 miles or less of 777 South I-35 E., Red Oak, TX? This is critically important to find something NOW, NOW, NOW....Thanks for any input on good, safe, inexpensive rental houses that I can get into w/ a credit rating of 590, give or take.
