The Hitchbot was built in Canada. He was able to cross the entire country, from Nova Scotia to British Columbia in just 26 days, relying on the good will of Canadians. He was a friendly little guy, who could make small talk with humans, and take a random photo of his surroundings every 20 minutes .

He only lasted 2 weeks in the USA. Somehow that doesn't surprise most Canadians.......

Jim B.

Philly's a tough, predatory town. It's too bad they dropped it off in Philly and not elsewhere in Pa as it would have most likely had a safe and pleasant journey across the state.

In Boston, they took him to a Red Sox game, let him ride on boat, probably took him to the bar--then he gets to Philly and he's torn apart like that scene in RoboCop in an hour.

Proof positive who is a better city in the question of Boston vs. Philadelphia.

This is the difference between you and us, we were fully aware that he was not a friendly little guy.

It was a GoPro mounted on a dummy

Its Philadelphia, They Booed Santa Claus at an Eagles game.
Not to mention Philadelphians exert violence regularly at Eagles games against opposing team fans.
