One of my minor regrets is not getting one of those cushy Federal jobs you guys are complaining about. If I had my savings and pension would have been much better then they are. When younger people ask where they should work I suggest that one of the couple, preferably the woman because of maternity benefits, get a Federal job and the other try to work in the financial sector. The first will provide the family economic security and the latter, if the guy is good, will provide lots of money. Best of both worlds.
But what if we want to be part of the solution and not the problems?
I still have to say that I most hate the EPA, because two of the states I've lived in, Louisiana and West Virginia have suffered a lot of economic devastation because of them, particularly the war on coal in Appalachia. Then there's also the Obama EPA's opposition to domestic oil and gas production that has restricted economic development in the US. They are a radical left-wing agency that believes in lies like global warming which are not proven, and using this to justify putting Americans out of work and destroying the economies of entire states like West Virginia and Kentucky. We have an old saying here in WV, if you don't like coal, then go sit in the dark.
The Obama EPA also limited oil production in Louisiana, both on land and offshore in the Gulf. The ridiculous regualtions of refineries also makes America less competitive than foreign countries like China and India.
The IRS and TSA goes without saying. I understand some people hate the DEA because of marijuana and their enforcement of marijuana laws which many people disagree with. The IRS is also used for politically motivated, trumped up prosecutions like the ones Obama ordered agaisnt Dinesh D'Souza and against conservative groups. I'm surprised Lois Lerner isn't in prison.
FEMA is another agency I hate immensely, especially in light of how they treated people in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina and the recent floods.
