So, what are the cops supposed to do with these people caught in the act of committing a crime? Check their skin color, and if they are black, apologize to the perp and then get back in the cop car and drive away?

LOL. I know. Calling him a kid was of satire intent. Hence the reference to NBA players. Just little kids in grown men bodies. I really didn't feel the need for technical clarity.

Wow!

"Police in Arlington, Texas, have fired the officer who shot and killed an unarmed football player in Texas and the cop now faces a criminal investigation, according to the department's chief.

Officer Brad Miller exercised "inappropriate judgment" and was also cited for "failing to communicate with his fellow officers" and "creating an environment of cascading circumstances," in the death of Christian Taylor, 19, according to Police Chief Will Johnson.

Perhaps the investigation found his judgment to be career ending, given the circumstances. It would be interesting to know exactly what those were. That said, I have lived in Arlington and surrounding areas, a riot was never imminent. Even in south Dallas such an event would remain local and small.

What Charlotte officer?

The Arlington officer apparently used deadly force when deadly force was not warranted. Even other cops won't back him up on this.

Why are you calling Christian Taylor "the scum of society"?

It should be. It will create more faith in the system which will make it far better on the vast majority that do a good job. Why should good cops be demoralized when bad ones are held responsible for their actions?

Why should cops have to take charging behemoths and hope they only wind up being pistol whipped. These aren't Walter Scott shot in the back police shootings.

Let's not give the media ideas now. Isolated incidents should stay simply that, totally isolated.

I wasn't referring to Taylor but who police deal with daily but if you want to bring him specifically in this then I will say scum go around vandalizing others property.
