We live in a free country. While people can take that chant as a threat, it is not direct and specific. We s citizens are allowed to protest the institutions that we live under.

The vast majority did not participate in any violence. It's just the nature of singer people here to lump then ask together. If you are guilty of doing that, instead of defending it, you should be introspective and question why you would do such an un-American thing.
We all know that their "or else" equates to violence.

"Give us what we want or we'll destroy your neighborhoods".

Lulz.
Some people have to learn the hard way.
When you condone violence then don't get upset when your office gets looted by the very people you support.

Good one, that made me lol.

The black vote is largely taken for granted and is only paid lip-service.

Most of the cities with the biggest reputations for policing abuses are in democratically controlled urban areas and when you only have one party to vote for it's like expecting big changes by voting in a place like Shanghai.

In a one party system, the winner is whom the party picks. It's not a democracy, it's an oligarchy.

That's right. No Dem needs to pander to the Blacks because their vote is locked in.
They all turned out and voted for Obama twice now and Obama never delivered squat to them.

Both sides seem very focused on the spark that set off the powder keg. Perhaps they should spend their time pondering why there was a powder keg in the first place.

Ferguson is a town in an economic death spiral, with a thuggish police department acting as enforcers to provide 25% or so of the town's operating budget.

Everyone seems focused on the DOJ report that acknowledged that Michael Brown's death was lawful. And ignoring the second report that eviscerates the Ferguson police department.

http://www.justice.gov/sites/default...ent_report.pdf

This is a police department that arrested a perfectly innocent man, beat him up in the cells, and then charged him with "destruction of government property" for bleeding on their uniforms.

The Day Ferguson Cops Were Caught in a Bloody Lie - The Daily Beast

Quote:
On and/or about the 20th day of Sept. 20, 2009 at or near 222 S. Florissant within the corporate limits of Ferguson, Missouri, the above named defendant did then and there unlawfully commit the offense of ‘property damage’ to wit did transfer blood to the uniform...
222 S. Florissant is the address of the police station. You'd be angry if you lived under those conditions, too.

Michael Brown was in the wrong. And Ferguson still needs to disband its police force - roll into STL instead.

Lulz.
Well, any proper tribute to Brown should included a bit of theft.

"or else" is an open ended threat.
