oogo chavez's daughter a multi-billionaire in starving Venezuela?

Quote:
The richest person in Venezuela isn’t a billionaire industrialist, but the daughter of dead socialist President Hugo Chavez, according to Venezuelan media reports.

María Gabriela, Chavez’s favourite daughter, is reported to be worth a staggering $4.2 billion. Gabriela’s father was a notorious opponent of capitalism and Venezuela’s entrepreneurial class. When he was alive he went so far to say “capitalism leads us straight to hell.”

And their people go without bread and toilet paper.

Another one for the "when governments run things" files.

Did you expect otherwise from a "socialist" dictator? They all give bombastic speeches about battling "American imperialism" and opposing capitalism while claiming be be a "man of the people" when in reality they live like kings.

It's well known for instance that the Castro brothers enjoy the benefits of high class society.

^ interesting article

It's not a shock that his Venezuelan puppet acted in the same manner.

I work in peru and work with many Venezuelans and none like Chavez or Maduro. I was told that low oil price is good for Venezuela as that's less money to pay to freeloaders that elect them...eventually, you run out of other people's money to steal.

We have seen what military industrial driven corporatism has gained us since before WW2. Since we have managed to stay at war for all these years paying for weapons that don't work and wars we don't need, maybe we give Senator Sander's brand of socialism a try. How could it be worse for most of us if businesses were no longer allowed to profit from harming everyone in their unending quest for exorbitant profits.

Why should we not know if our food was made with artificial genetic modification?

Why should we not know if our government is reading our e-mails, phone calls and web participation like city-data?

Why should we not worry about some excitable cop stopping us for some phony reason and then shooting us because they got frightened?

Why should we not try Bernie's Way?

Actually Bernie would have been a god send. The problem was that their inequality and injustices got so bad that they went to a even further extreme and got Chavez.

You want Chavez? Keep letting things get worse here.

Bernie's way has been tried in many other countries. I find the eventual death camps to be a non starter here in the U.S.

You are worried about an excitable cop yet push for type of government that has led to the deaths of millions of people over the last 100 years.

I could be wrong though, I doubt other socialist leaders put out a folk album.
