Any attempts at "discussing race" will be met with the same intellectually bland and tired arguements. His version of the "conversation about race" is nothing from than, yet another, sermon and monologue.
And the counter arguments are "New" and "full of life"? Here is the counter argument summarized in the abstract: "Blacks have faced no adversity that others have not faced, yet others do much better than you. There is NO external cause for blacks doing worse than others, only internal". That argument is not NEW nor REFRESHING. At its core it is the same argument of black inferiority to whites that came with the inception of this nation.

So you are saying that no average looking people can afford expensive cars or Starbucks?

Sure there are some gold diggers, but most women marry people they love or think they love. Marrying "up" always has a tinge of superficiality involved. Like having a trophy wife.

That's not context. That's stupid stereotyping. When a Eastern Kentucky county like Martin County has 12600 people and only 4 black people, the blacks are statistically insignificant. And several Eastern Kentucky counties with tens of thousands of people have like less than half a dozen black people. By that logic, if the 5 Asian people who live there have a slightly higher income than whites, there is "Asian privilege" there. It's stupid, divisive and harmful.

There are all types of privileges fortunately.

That is why people do not need to be angry or bitter. Just be happy with what you have

It is probably true that men are more superficial than women when it comes to looks. And people, in general, have more respect for men who are with someone they truly care about, whether those women are pretty, plain, fat, skinny or old. E.g., people have a huge amount of respect for someone like Pierce Brosnan, but not a lot for those wealthy men who always need a pretty face with a model bod on their arm, which mostly conveys insecurity.

With all the talk of white privilege, is there also a cultural bias towards very attractive people, particularly women?
Are you suggesting that those attractive women driving nice cars got them solely based on their looks? I'm sure you're right. There's clearly NO possibility that ANY of them could be bright, educated, hard working and purchased those cars on their own.

And some people refuse to acknowledge we still have an issue with misogyny in this country.

Of course there's privilege when you're a female and attractive.

Keep your eyes on the road and stop looking at women when you're driving.

Life expectancy of people in this region is lower than some of the poorest black communities in the country like the Mississppi delta.
Disability and general welfare benefits drive the local economies in some counties. Without government aid, there likely would be no jobs in some areas.

Prescription drug and heroin addiction is a huge issue in some areas. The area tends to lead the country with the highest death by overdose rates.

What if there is correlation? Would you be opposed to it?

Is life meant to be completely fair? America is about equal opportunities, not equal outcomes.

Women who drive expensive SUV's probably have to keep up appearances, look prosperous probably because they are rich, and then there are the ones who want to appear rich but have debt beyond belief. It is a free world and some just have money and some don't. It has always been that way and continues today.

Image is very important to some, others are just down to earth and don't want to put on airs.. Wealthy people can be very humble , some are not. Some want to give the appearance they are better, but they are not.. they just can afford the trinkets of the world which doesn't make them a better person. But if they do have wealth and treat everyone as important, they are a better person for it.
