Every one of them is entitled to an Immigration Hearing and an appeal. Reportedly, about 250,000 cases are heard each year. With appeals, it would take about 40 years to clear the decks. I suppose a massive number of new judges could be appointed and the courts operated 24/7. That might clear the decks in 10-22 years.

We have an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the US, which is about equal to the combined populations of NYC and Chicago. Trump says:

How are you going to round them up? Door to door searches? Once you round them up, how are you going to house, clothe and feed 11 million people until you can ship them to the border? And how are you going to ship them? Cattle cars? Are you going to have massive detention camps to sort out the legals from illegals, or just send them back and let Mexico sort 'em out? What if Mexico won't take them back? Mass executions?

That seems like a reasonable idea to me and could actually save tax money rather than cost. Of course it would pass over Democrats' dead bodies. Still, why isn't Trump talking about that instead of claiming that he's going to round up and deport 11 million people on "day one?"
