A black thug kills two news reporters because they're white ... hoping to start a RACE WAR and the dims change the subject to gun control. However, a white kid kills some blacks and is shown with a Confederate Battle Flag ... and the dims, blacks, and press can't seem to scream loud enough or long enough.

I know ... I'm racist for asking the question ... hopefully, someone can give me an insight.

Maybe if the Republicans would get on board with the obvious need for some kind of gun control legislation after a mass shooting the coverage wouldn't change to things like the Confederate Flag.

That a track happened and worked because people needed an outlet, someone or something to blame for the Charleston shooting. Some way to make it better.

If they had been able to make it better through gun safety measures the people would of gone with that. But that's never an option after a mass shooting. And so we end up with a scape goat which is what happened with the confederate flag in South Carolina.

Also, maybe if we didn't try to make everything about race (on BOTH sides) we could actually get to the root of the gun problem in our country.

Based on the wording of your post, I don't think you'd recognize insight if it came up and bit you on the ass. Your views are set in stone. Yes, you are racist. There's your insight.

This makes sense since all the states and cities with strict gun control have much lower rates of crime than the other states and cities, oh wait, they don't.

Gun control has universally failed at reducing crime. If anything crime has dropped while gun rights expand.

I believe in gun control too, people need to control their guns and stop letting their guns get out of control and kill other people.

You want to address criminals obtaining guns? OK.. Criminals do not obtain their guns through gun shops. Criminals do not obtain their guns from gun shows. Both of these require background checks in order to purchase a firearm. Criminals get their guns from the street. How do you prevent that? Fact is, you don't and can't. You can pass all the laws you want, but criminals are criminals and as such, they ignore laws. Hence they are criminals. So, now you want to restrict what kind of guns are to be owned. Let's restrict certain kinds of guns... The guns you are wanting to restrict are not the guns that are involved in shootings. Then we go to magazine capacity. It takes approximately 1 1/2 seconds to eject a magazine and put another in. In other words, all of the gun control that has been talked about would be ineffective against crime. It would only restrict the law abiding citizen. If you want fewer shootings, look at the root cause. Are you willing to eliminate the automobile because people have wrecks or drive drunk? No, you punish those who drive inappropriately. Yet with firearms, you punish the law abiding and never have any effect on those who abuse firearms.

The answer is simple.

It's called hypocrisy. The current case doesn't fit the bottom-feeder's narrative.
