One could make that case about the cannibals living in the Amazon forest, since they dont immigrate to US.
Muslims do immigrate to the US in thousands every year, and bring their culture with them.
You need to study human evolution as it relates to the environment where they evolved. Advanced societies evolved in places where agriculture was easy and there were plenty of animals to domesticate.
Societies that did not advance evolved in places where agriculture was not feasible and there were no animals for domestication or for hunting purposes.
The mecca of cannibalism was in New Guinea where the terrain was inhospitable with little source of protein. Evolution dictated cannibalism because it is all about natural selection and the human body needs protein to survive.
Don't judge other cultures without having an understanding of evolution and the relationship to the environment.
I am no fan of Muslim culture, but I understand where they are coming from and in the bottom they are as human as you. BTW, the uncultured uneducated Muslims probably think American culture is barbaric.

Maher is fanatical about his atheism, he is intolerant of those that are theists.
Some Muslims perceived we are a danger to them.
Just as some Americans perceive Muslims are a danger to us.
This perception works both ways.
The US once dropped the bomb on his enemies. I am certain the Iranians have this in mind. The last thing Iranians want is the US dropping the bomb on them.

The heavy flow of immigration in one direction suggests Western culture is superior.
Not everyone enjoys the individual freedoms that people in the western world do.

That is why Europeans migrated to America. They were looking for freedom and energy. At the time America was not superior to Europe. Migration has nothing to do with superiority.
Countries where migrants can find sources of energy and freedom to survive are not superior countries?
Tell that to the American expats that migrate to Ecuador or Costa Rica.
