Possibly because Mr. Chocolate City is in prison.

Even with a week of warning, Bush was playing President in California, Cheney was home in Wyoming, and Condi Rice was shoe shopping in Manhattan. So ole' George visited a High School in New Orleans, where he told two high school girls that "being President is not that hard", and, in another cringeworthy moment, he can be seen dancing like a drunken frat boy.

George, there is a reason your handlers keep you out of the public eye.

George W Bush dances in New Orleans during Katrina event

Picking The Wings Off Butterflies: Bush Returns to New Orleans | Common Dreams | Breaking News & Views for the Progressive Community
Idiot mayor and future criminal, nagin, and loser of a governor played a critical role and delayed federal intervention as the rules had been set up. Add that the residents who chose to ignore early warnings and became victims and you have a self made circle jerk

Apparently Katrina was a storm of the century, of biblical proportion, far beyond the disaster that the feds had ever planned to address.

Throw in a several administrations redirecting cash away from levee repair and improvement and you have the disaster that was Katrina.

Remember it was not the hurricane that caused the ultimate damage. It was the levee sysytem that broke down after the storm had passed.

So how is this GWB's doing?

Was that a rain dance that he was doing?

George Washington danced away the hours while his men suffered Valley Forge and the encampment at morristown.

Obama played golf minutes after feigning disgust that an American had been beheaded.

So funny that the media and the leftists never, ever mention the incompetent, criminal Mayor and the incompetent Governor, but then, they're both Democrats. Go figure.

Or the idiots who saw a Cat 5 hurricane approaching and thought it would be a good idea to stay in New Orleans and complain that the government wasn't doing enough to help them.

Default George W. Bush is at it again...

So Bush goes to pay tribute to the recovery of New Orleans and it's a bad thing? Really someone needs to seek some therapy if that bothers them.

No one talks about a failed Gov. Blanco and the corrupt Mayor Ray of New Orleans who pushed the Bush Adminstration back when GW offered help of the Federal Gov.

No Talks about local official steeling Levee and Canal Maintenance from the corp of Army engineers.

Looking back it was the Democrats who caused the demise of a City and a Recession that the DNC still has not figured out yet!

GW Knew how to work with both sides because he had to. Unlike Obama! GW would make a good replacement President until 2016.
Wow, another Bush apologist who rewrites history to make his savior sparkle.

Bush went to a golfing birthday party the day a monster hurricane hit the gulf coast and 1800 lost their lives.

Which is worse?

Yeah, he should have put on his Superman costume and used his super breath to blow it back out to sea.
Did all those people die the 1st day and what would you have liked him to do as the storm was hitting?

SuperPres could have personally knocked down those planes that hit NYC on 911 also.
