You seem to ignore the part of the article that also states that there are similar Christian housing subsidized by the government, as well as housing dedicated to those from Macedonian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Greek (all likely Christian) and Chinese backgrounds.

Yes, in the OP's story, that is exactly what's happening - Canadian non-profits can get tax-payer money to build housing for the benefit of their low-income members. I wouldn't want to see that happen here, but none of us has any say into what Canada does.
