And all I am hearing from the Republicans is;

Let's keep the healthcare system the way it is... thereby.. lets keep our rich insurance friends getting wealthy....

I don't hear ANY solutions for helping people at HOME.. although I am hearing about troops in Iraq..like let's keep them there!

I hear.. let's keep the tax cuts that BUSH put in place for the wealthy..thereby shifting the tax burden onto the already cash strapped and choking middle class!

I keep hearing them favor big corporations and investors ..keep hearing them favor lining their pockets..but ignoring the rest of us!

Any what grand "solutions" is your canditate coming up with? Newsflash, ALL candidates will provide solutions...its the getting them done part they have a problem with. As far as Iraq, we are there and no immediate withdrawl is gonna happen. I don't care who wins the POTUS, it ain't happening.

Tax burden on the middle-class? Are you saying the middle-class pays a higher percentage of the total tax revenue than the wealthy?

Oh.. and the alternative is better? Instead we have insurance companies controlling our healthcare.. NOT US< NOT THE DR's. !! NO.. we have people who only care about their bottom line.. NOT your well being controlling your healthcare!! Guess what..most of us who have insurance only THINK we have insurance.. but they have ALL the power to turn you down for a treatment YOU need because they deem it's TOO EXPENSIVE>. but they'll find another way to put it. Ask that girl who died because the insurance company wouldnt' give her a liver transplant she needed to live .. oh yeah.. that's right SHE'S DEAD!!! but I'm sure if she were here she would rather have had anyone BUT the insurance company have control of her health care!

You all talk about buying into the "advertisements" of the politicians in this campaigne... you're all buying into the fear about socialized medicine that the insurance companies are dishing out.. why? because if we really get smart and open our eyes to their get rich scheme.. they'll be out of business... It works in France, it Works in Canada... etc..

Atleast they offer hope.. adn the candidate that seems to have teh best plan in my opinion wins. They can fight the fight .. but then it's those damned republicans that are in the insurance companies and corporate America's pockets that are going to put big road blocks in front of what they are trying to do.. Yeah.. no immediate withdrawl is possible.. BUT we do need a WITHDRAWL..
Perhaps the war wasn't 100% WRONG or RIGHT>... BUT if that dimwit of a president would have gone in with a better plan we wouldn't be hemorraghing money ..

When you give tax cuts to wealthy.. WHO AREN'T STRUGGLING TO PAY THEIR BILLS. .. the money has to come from somewhere..where do you think it comes from.. the middle class. Middle class doens't have enough money to buy tax shelters to hide thier money . Yes.. more money comes from the rich ON THE WHOLE.. BUT .. more middle class pays a higher proportion of their income to taxes.. and im not just talking about the worker.. i'm talking about the small business owner.. one that doesn't have deep pockets.. one that doesn't have expendable income to acquire tax shelters... its why the rich keep getting richer and the middle class poorer!

So if someone is not "struggling to pay their bills", they are obviously not being taxed enough. Gotcha

The tax cuts provide the wealthy have more money to invest. While you're right that some do put this money in offshore accounts and/or tax shelters, many are in fact investing it which means they are putting it back into the economy. They are creating jobs for the middle-class. They are essentially keeping families employed, who in turn pay the mortgage or rent and feed their kids. Our liberal friends want to take away incentive for wealthy people to invest. Why? No good reason, except that it sounds good to a bunch of greedy poor who think they will benefit from the rich getting less.

don't twist my words..

bottom line..giving tax breaks to the rich is all about keepign the middle class where they are and elevating the rich to higher levels.. and these days.. about pushing middle class down!! PERIOD..

Yea that is the myth. Unfortunately.... not reality. Show me proof where the Bush tax cuts have reaulted in job creation. We have in fact lost 17% of all manufacturing jobs since he took over, and the trend is just increasing. Where are all these wonderful jobs being created for the middle class?

Manufacturing jobs (most specifically mine) were flying out the door long before George Bush took office. You might want to go investigate the Presidential signature at the bottom of NAFTA

True. But the trend in recent years has been going up significantly. Just a fact.

State of the Union as seen by an ordinary citizen

At this time of year, the president normally issues his State of the Union address to the nation and the Congress. After the president has spoken, the Democrats usually respond, in both English and Spanish.
