Nothing ever ceases to amaze me in the house of representatives.

So many important issues for them to address like budget deficits, infrastructure and this is it.

Quote:
WASHINGTON — U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday the goal in negotiations over funding for Planned Parenthood was to avoid a government shutdown on Oct. 1 and also to stop the sale of "baby parts."
"The goal here is not to shut down the government. The goal is to stop these horrific practices of organizations selling baby parts," Boehner told reporters.
Boehner, however, stopped shot of guaranteeing that any government shutdown would be averted.

Shutting down the government won't change anything other than costing the taxpayer a few billion. Wasting few billion in a fight over a few million doesn't makes sense, partcularly since they cannot change PP's practices.

Why do you Lefties act like your side has never shutdown the gov before? In fact, Dems shutdown the gov more than R's did:

Here is every previous government shutdown, why they happened and how they ended - The Washington Post

Government should be shut down every other month as a matter of practice.

The only time my freedoms are safe is when congress is not in session.

Yes there have been other shutdowns, so go start a thread on the history. So do you feel they are justified this time over this nonsense,

I feel anytime the government is shutdown it's justified. Just stop your phony outrage, as I pointed out Dems have shutdown the gov more than the reps have. This is no big deal at all. You won't even notice if it happens.

Indeed.

A permanent work stoppage of the FedGov would be an ideal situation.
