I don't know the ins and outs of the Fast and Furious issue or whether the allegations in the second link about Holder are true at all.
But, assuming it's all true and those in charge of pursuing contempt against Holder or charging him with a crime were derelict in their duties, it doesn't mean that the Judge shouldn't hold Davis in contempt.
Hold her in contempt, I don't care.
Quote:
When she didn't want to issue the licenses she pursued her right to refuse to the Supreme Court and was denied the relief she sought. What she was left with was an order to issue the licenses. When she refused to do so, people who wanted the licenses went to federal court to get the judge to order her to do so. He did and when she refused, he held her in contempt.
You don't need to explain to me what happened. I'm fully aware.

In both instances regarding Holder, you don't have an enforceable court order that a judge can look to as a basis for either holding Holder in contempt or charging him with a crime. You may be 100% right that law enforcement officials are not doing their jobs. But it doesn't have any bearing on the fact that Judge Bunning IS doing his job and upholding the Constitution.
I'm not blaming the judge for anything. This isn't about her or the judge. It's about an unfair justice system. One that prosecutes when it wants and ignores or actually encourages law breaking when it wants to.
I do not support what she did. I support the idea of people intervening in a corrupt system.
The memorial belongs to them, they should be able to dance.
Apparently they are assaulted for dancing. I would think the Police would have better things to do like "Go after terrorist or find a good doughnut shop".

I agree that we live in an imperfect world and in an imperfect country with an imperfect justice system.
But I'm not sure that it furthers your argument against a corrupt system to compare what did or didn't happen with Holder to what has happened to Davis. They just don't have all that much in common.
They are claiming that she didn't get due process. I'm not sure what they consider due process, but she was sued, went to court, and appealed all the way to the supreme court. I thought that was due process.

I can post other examples. I'll be happy to if you think it would make a difference. I don't really care whether you agree with me or not though.
