Times are changing ,and the world is getting more crowded and causing a great deal of stress .
Jobs are thin and getting fewer, and people are going to become far more desperate than ever before .

The issue of guns is about controlling people ,and every government that has taken guns from the people have take away rights as well, any way they want .

Obama has already made the statement the people are not capable of governing them self .

Franklin might also have anticipated this amendment would be repealed by common sense if and when guns became what they are. I can say for sure he didn't anticipate the NRA.

Actually they were. Washington had in mind that citizens would have the same guns as the government. Maybe that should be our standard today.
It is the standard. That's why the AR 15 is so popular. Its been the standard since the Revolution, when the Brown Bess and Harpers Ferry muskets were GOP of the line. Whatever the military is issuing , is generally a civilian standard. The DCM was formed under that premise, to train the militia using military arms. The M16 changed the game a bit, as it has full auto capability, hence, the semi auto only AR15.
At any rate, both past and current military issue rifles are still civilian standards. M1 Garand, M14/M1A M16 AR 15 . Its as it should be.
