I truly hate to play conspiracy theorist - but there is a large contingent of the left that wants to see the population of white people diluted. Look at the ridiculous white supremacy talk - hell, I can't look at Facebook on thanksgiving anymore without reading about how the white man stole this country through murder. You're going to tell me it's racist to require citizens to show a freaking ID to vote - but bringing tens of millions of immigrants here, probably 95% in the last ten years non-white - is just coincidence?
