You just had a thread on this topic and got defeated. I hate to see you go 0-2 but...
Here's the difference: Kim Davis is directly breaking the law and violating her obligation under it as a government employee.
The Pope is avisiting non-citizen making general suggestions to improve society and our nation, the implementation of which does not inherently violate the law.
Defeated? What are you talking about? None of you lefties could even remotely explain why the Pope ran away from American liberalism literally moments before he landed in the US. I'm still waiting on a cogent response rather than the dodging and weaving you guys have perfected.
Regarding the rest of your post....did you purposefully evade the point?

It's called diplomacy. Being a right winger, it's no wonder that you can't grasp the concept.

Both of which affect American's, but only one of which liberals support!
The hypocrisy is downright disgusting!
The Pope is also a head of state expressing his political views much like Benjamin Netanyahu did at the invitation of John Boehner. Since you're whining only about the Pope I'd say the hypocrisy is yours.
Kim Davis is a government employee refusing to do her job.

When you have no other logical argument, bring out the personal attacks. Lucky for you, I have thick skin. I can take it. I don't run to moderators when things don't go my way.

thread fail.
Wait...hold up. Are you saying that the Pope is expressing POLITICAL views instead of RELIGIOUS views? That's not what your fellow liberals are saying!
Nevertheless, you're yet another liberal who can't argue the point without bringing Israel into the discussion. That's a problem that you guys need work out on your own. I'm not going to hold your hand while you deflect.

A comparison between two like things is not a deflection. A deflection is when someone doesn't want to see that comparison and pretends that it doesn't exist.
The mods need to combine this with your other losing thread. It doesn't deserve a whole new thread just so you can repeat what you said over and over and over again in the last one.

So, when American laws are crafted to reflect the Pope's moral teachings, will you then ask yourself why American's must be subjected to laws drafted off of religious teachings?

The Pope is reiterating what a lot of left wing politicians have been saying for years. So no, any laws crafted by Democrats won't be based off the Pope's teachings, they will be crafted off of liberal beliefs, which the Pope just happens to agree with. And that's what has your panties all in a twist.
1) She did not, never has, and probably never will "represent the US government." She's a county-level clerk. The USG had no bearing whatsoever on state-level marriage licenses.
2) No one, especially me, asserted that the Pope "creates laws." Your strawman is dead on arrival.
If this is your very best, then you should be very, very embarrassed.
Nonetheless, the county clerk's position is a government position. The person performing the county clerk's tasks is performing government tasks. The performance of such tasks should be done impartially. Ms Davis even swore that she would perform those tasks impartially. When she imposes her religious beliefs into the performance of government tasks, she is no longer performing the tasks impartially.
I'm unclear about which religious views of the Pope's you take issue with. It seems that the religious views that conservatives agree with, they have no problem with the government implementing. I think it's the scientific views and the economic views of the pontiff that concern you, not his religious views. And in that case, the hypocrisy would be yours, not others'.
