We just need more troops, drones, sanctions, money, blah blah blah
Ca-ching! War and chaos is great for the defense industry and its stockholders...not so much for the victims.

Are you sure it was a mistake, or did it have the desired effect?
Having said that though, do you think Obama or anyone else for that matter is even remotely capable of stopping the nightmare unleashed with the removal of Saddam Hussein? Do you expect him to just snap his fingers and make it all go away?
Putin actually wants to defeat ISIS. It is a new ballgame. Currently ISIS ain't much worse than Saddam was as far as a danger to us.
That's what usually happens when you remove the huge stabilizing presence (Saddam) of an area. It gets replaced with utter chaos and pandemonium, and leaves a massive power vacuum with all kinds of makeshift groups (ie: Arab Springers, ISIS, etc) all fighting each other to fill it.
Cut the evil dictator's head off (and Saddam admittedly was horrid) and it will be replaced with God knows what. Loads of people knew this would happen.
Saddam was much like Assad is. Why mention actions to remove Saddam while ignoring that we are funding, arming and training terrorists in Syria that are attempting to overthrow one of the few remaining legitimate governments in the ME? Our actions there are a direct support of terrorists. No different than what Iran does in supporting terrorists that attack and kill Israeli citizens. And just as contemptible.
We need to get the hell out of the ME. Nothing going on there is worth one American life. Or taxpayer dollar.
The creation of ISIS had everything to do with the US invasion of Iraq, because ISIS was founded by Sunni Iraqi and (Sunni) Syrian insurgents who were loyal to Saddam Hussein (also a Sunni) and fought the American occupation of Iraq. ISIS would not exist if not for the US invasion of Iraq.
They would be Al Qaeda then quit taking up for Obama's failed foreign policies the Muslim lover...

Goes back a little further than Bush. Clinton both ordered military action against Iraq and signed the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998. Bush just followed through on that.
Level the entire middle east.
We can cut a deal with our allies and split the land up evenly.
It's a win-win.
