We keep getting fed the story line from our political rulers on how the muslim refugees just want a better life for themselves and their families and how they want to integrate into American society. But polls of American muslims show otherwise.

https://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2015/06/23/nationwide-poll-of-us-muslims-shows-thousands-support-shariah-jihad/

Among the interesting takes from the poll are that only 39% of American muslims believe they should be subject to American courts. More troubling: " Nearly one-fifth of Muslim respondents said that the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land in this country".

Doesn't sound like integration to me.

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis doesn't like being "subject to our courts," either …

Nor do plenty of thieves and robbers, drug dealers, and gun nut militia enthusiasts …

So, stop picking on "Muslims," already ...

According to Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org

"The Center for Security Policy is a pro-Israel activist group and self-described think tank that has been accused of propagating conspiracy theories. CSP was founded in 1988 by noted conspiracy theorist Frank Gaffney, Jr. and advocates policies based on what it describes as a philosophy of "Peace through Strength."

Based on Wikipedia's description on the author of this article I feel safe to say that it is a biased piece of garbage and not legitimate....

"Muslims" in quotes? You don't believe they exist?

Karmic justice would see large numbers of them settled in your town, voting in sharia restrictions on you and your Catholic Church.

Yes …

Today's "Muslim Scare" is the equivalent of the "Red Scare" of the 1950s … It's the same Fascist mentality … Ironically, it is deeply un-American ...

TRUE but people fear what they don't know AND what we do know about muslims is brought to us by the political arm of the media.

We know that muslims fly airplanes into buildings. We know that they blow each other up in the name of their religion. We know they are terrorists that behead, abuse and murder people in the name of their religion. We know they are not fans of America and the freedoms we hold dear. We hear all these terrible things on a daily basis the latest being that the men sexual abuse boys and girls and that it is OK in their society.

We naturally fear what we don't know. I hope the Rush Limbaugh extreme conservatives are not right about muslims attempting to take over the world. I hope the liberal PC crowd is not so stupid that they open their love all arms wider in welcome to people that may actual prove to be a Trojan horse.

We have to be reasonable and we have to be careful in todays world.

A poll only reflects the views of the responders and can only address what the poll questions ask.

The results then become evaluated based upon the opinion of the poll creator.

some things that need to be clarified

What is being defined as Shariah?

Who was the population surveyed?

What were the questions asked?

How many people took the poll?

Where the poll respondents Sunni, Shi'ite, Wahhabi, Ismaili, Ahmaddyyat etc ?

Every poll is inherently biased. Very often a poll will be slanted and written in such a manner as to support the opinions of the poll author.

I think you will find that Most Muslims possibly even 100% of us would like to see the Civil laws defined by the 4 sunni Madhabs recognized. They are not illegal We can still use them, just have to file each dealing as a civil contract in the court house.

Only a small minority would see any need for the criminal laws.

Very few American Muslims support the Wahhabi'ism that many Americans think is Sharia

i am a bit disturbed by this comment.

As Muslims are obligated to abide by the laws of the nation we live in, or leave that country. Not try to over throw it.

Quote:
The Muslims living a non-Muslim country, even if they originally entered that country by means of forged documents, are considered to be living in their adopted country under a covenant. They must, therefore, comply with the laws of their country of residence without, at the same time, disobeying Islamic Law.

Allah says: “Oh you who believe! Fulfill (your) obligations.” [Sûrah al-Mâ’idah: 1]

He also says: “And fulfill (every) covenant. Verily! The covenant will be questioned about.” [Sûrah al-Isrâ': 34]

He says: “And fulfill the Covenant to Allah when you have covenanted, and break not the oaths after you have confirmed them.” [Sûrah al-Nahl: 91]

A Muslim is not to break or violate oaths or promises. He will not be a true faithful Muslim if he does so. Allah Said: “It is not the case that every time they make a covenant, some party among them throws it aside. Nay! The truth is most of them believe not.” [Sûrah al-Baqarah: 100]

Among the characteristics of a hypocrite is that he: “…acts treacherously toward covenants (pledges), and when entrusted he betrays.”

Scholars have stated that those who enter non-Muslim countries have to adhere to their respective laws and regulations even if they entered those countries illegally, and they have no excuse for breaking those laws, since they were entrusted to abide by those laws upon entry into those countries.
