In today's world it seems like most of our politician's are all about appeasement, making others happy even at the expense of U.S citizens. We have rightfully earned our spot as top dog super power and if ANYTHING our enemies should be worried about offending US! They should be the ones willing to do whatever they can not to offend US! But now we have a President that bows to our enemies and will do what it takes to make them happy.
The whole video is great but I especially love the last part:
"We must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have. It is a weapon that we as Americans do have. Let that be understood by those who practice terrorism and prey upon their neighbors.
As for the enemies of freedom, those who are potential adversaries, they will be reminded that peace is the highest aspiration of the American people. We will negotiate for it, sacrifice for it; we will not surrender for it, now or ever."
Boy, doesn't that say it all! I just find it a shame to think in the past our enemies knew if they wanted to survive they better be able to turn around, pull down their pants and bend over upon request, and knew ****** us off was the worst mistake they could make, but now our leaders and politicians proudly shake hands with everything from mass murderers, rapists, child molesters, and every other kind of filth that has human DNA out there and get along like we're all great friends. It's downright sickening.
It's a shame we don't have presidents like George Washington, Roosevelt, Lincoln or even Reagan; men that weren't afraid to tell our enemies that we aren't afraid and if anything THEY should be the ones that fear US, they should be the ones to fear offending us, fear what we are. Yet today we let war criminals go with nary even a "That's bad what you are doing" and invite them to lunch and dinner! Can you imagine how awkward it would be if we get a female president and she needs to be all nice to a man that has raped hundreds if not thousands of women?
So are we going to continue down this path or will we get leaders that actually lead and are quite willing to strike fear into the hearts of our enemies.
Anyway, just something I wanted to get off my chest.
Reagan was accused by the far right of appeasing the Soviets when he signed a deal similar to Obama's Iran deal. Reagan was all about negotiations and appeasement for years to avoid open conflict.
The alternative to negotiations and diplomacy is plowing in with a full military. A lot of Americans want that as our first option - the last GOP debate was terrifying in how many candidates wanted to just blow people up to solve problems.
But, we learned from the failed presidency of George W. Bush that that approach doesn't work.
I'd personally rather have diplomatic presidents who use force sparingly like Reagan and Obama. That's just the more mature approach.
The problem with utilizing military superiority is the concept that you can go in and control the circumstances with minimal intrusion. That is not and never has been how wars are won. In order to win a war, you have to go in with the acceptance that there will be massive collateral damage and you have to fight to win. The best way to win hearts and minds of your enemy is through complete destruction and defeat. How many times has Japan attacked us since the end of WWII?
If you are not willing to do this, then don't go to war.

You were not around for the Reagan years, I take it?
What a childish post. Come back when you're mature enough for an adult conversation.
If you were around for Reagan, you were a child and have simply bought into the rewriting of his reality.
Rest aassured, Reagan appeased.
You clearly weren't around for Nam I'd you think our enemies run and hide.
