Now that Pope Fracis visited the United States and main thing is that he spoke in the congress and the only religious world leader and Pope who has ever addressed the congress in history; will the government be more accepted and favor Christianity more despite "separation of church and state"?

No, that won't happen. I do wonder though whether the Pope isn't allowed to do this because he is also head of state. I hadn't realized that until it was pointed out to me in another thread here.

It would take a bigger act from God than the Pope speaking to congress for the government to be more accepting and favor Christianity. Congress is for sale from the highest bidder and by their morals, I don't see them looking much as favoring Christian morals.

Congress should love the socialist pope, he gives it religious cover for its redistribution schemes.

The fact of the matter is, historically, our country both as a nation and as a government has generally always leaned towards Christianity in many aspects despite the "separation of church and state" clause, this is proven by many facets of government including the words "In God We Trust" as an official national motto and printed on currency, the words "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, Christian symbols and artwork on government property, the President stating "God Bless America" at the end of speeches, and even the fact that the Judicial system uses a Bible as an official tool for being "sworn in" or "under oath"..

With that said, I really believe that the Pope visiting Congress was a great decision and I am glad he was accepted and welcomed with open arms by a government body that has not always had a reputation of being welcoming nor open to different prespectives. The Pope spoke well and was very appropriate with being respectful to all religions and not focusing only on religion. Regardless of religious beliefs, hopefully this was a speech of inspiration and motivation for congress, hopefully they take his words seriously and apply them as a method to be better public servants every day.

In his address to congress, the socialist pope praised racist Lincoln who killed about 750,000 with his uncivil war.
Can you imagine Jesus praising Caesars campaigns or the persecution of the Jews? Where's a lightning bolt from the sky when you need one

What kind of BS revisionist history is that?

Davis and the Confederacy are whole responsible for the start and continue aggessions of the War.

That's the problem with starting a War. Your declared enemy just might Win and finish it.
