Strangely we never hear Obama talking about Chicago and gun violence!

Clearly the facts shows it is not more strict laws but better background checks and perhaps making family and friends liable if they don't ring the bell to report the ones with a gun who are know to have mental illness or behave weird.

Bill Clinton signed a bill https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_Health_Parity_Act that caused mental health care to suffer and the lack of mental health care is caused from years of less and less attention and money for mental illness patient to get the treatment and to be locked up against their will which would have saved a lot of life's.

1700 killed in Chicago last year?? Where do you make this crap up? It was about 1/5 of that and was the fewest killings in about 50 years.

The problems with guns in Chicago cimes from illegal guns that get into the city, mostly from southern states with lax gun laws, sold legally initially and then sold on the black market.

Obama probably just likes to keep it on the down-low.

Yes gun laws are up
But the guns used were not purchased at a gun shop where law is obeyed
The guy on the street corner. Selling guns does not honor gun law or any other law
Black lives matter
Even when the cops are not involved

Except that there isn't an illegal black market in Southern States where all these supposed guns come from but most likely lawfully purchase as private party transactions then transported interstate into
Chicago and sold illegally there. Which I'm not so certain about either.

Sorry, but no matter how the gun was obtained, it did not do its own shooting.

Thieves steal firearms from Orlando gun show event

About 10 or so young teens broke into the gun show around 2:45 in the morning and stole two dozen guns.

Here we go again.

It's the old They're coming from Muncie argument. Then I wonder why Muncie's homicide rate (to account for the population difference) is so much lower than in Chicago's?

Criminals don't care about laws. Get it?

Then obviously they're not strict enough. This doesn't mean that restrictions should not exist.

Republicans are incredibly backwards on this topic.
