What policies did Obama put into place that caused our debt to nearly double?

What laws did Obama pass to increase our national debt?

Default When Republicans are involved, deficits GROW

The deficit exists because:

1) Dubya
2) Dubya
3) Republicans in Congress post-Dubya

If Republican Dubya were still in office, the deficit would be far, far BIGGER. If Republicans in Congress weren't corrupting Congress as Neanderthal obstructionists, President Obama would have this country in a SURPLUS now. If the country makes the colossal mistake of letting another Republican in the White House, the deficit will rise at a faster rate than at any time in history.

The only time Republicans care about a rising deficit is when a Democrat is in the White House. Pathetic.

...and don't you forget it either.

You think it's only the president who's in charge of our increasing debt? Congress wields most of the power, the president just signs the budget, look at the Republican Party for that one.

Let's see. Social welfare programs have been exponentially growing since the bar for benefits has risen (so more qualify) and nobody checks for validated income. 1 out of 7 Americans gets food stamps. Disability payments ( under SSP) have increased in payouts by over 10x fold since Obama decreased the threshold for quantifying for payments.

Obama's decision (executive?) has decided to greatly reduce deportations thus increasing costs for federal aid programs. Obama has expanded student loan programs to be government owned vs private, thus adding many more default loans and hiring more federal workers to "oversee" student loan program. Fannie mae buyouts now translate to over 80% of US mortgages are government backed. Buying American motors wasn't a money maker for our debt.

No one else responded to this post, so I will.

The above are debt numbers, not deficit numbers, they are different.

You with in your home home have a monthly budget, the (+) or (-) of that budget is not the same as your total debt.

Let me see if I can help you out with an example.

You buy a car and your monthly payments are 300 a month, but your total debt to that car isnt 300, its 15,000(not including interest).

that 300 dollars, plus utilities and home cost amount to 1000 dollars of your 2000 dollar budget.

Your budget deficit(surplus) is 1000 dollars, but your total debt actually grew by 15,000.

I think it is sad no one pointed this out to you before hand.

There isnt another 10 trillion on top of that because George Bush is also responsible for the 2009 Budget since the fiscal year started a full month before Barack Obama was even elected and 3 more months until he took office.

the total debt after that year was 11.9 trillion.

If you truly wasnt to discuss deficit and debt spending, I recommend you do that with a fair and open mind.

Recessions happen and when it does, tax revenue falls. You can not get back money that has already been spent/allocated.

Moreover, Obama must be a powerful magic man to be able to run up the deficit before even taking office. Note the date of this article.

Conservatives blaming Obama for the national debt is ridiculous. It's just as bad as democrats blaming republicans. When are you guys going to stop pointing fingers at the other party and accept that both are just as bad. Blame DNC and RNC establishment candidates and hold your own side under the same microscope that you're holding the other. Then maybe you will wake up to the fact that your side sucks just as bad and worse in some ways.

This post is how I feel all about it. The Democrats are just a little bit worse, but each party is doing their effort for their overlords (Bilderberg) to run America into total peasantry/bondage - the elimination of the "middle class" which has been dying now probably since the turn of the century.

We're all going to be in horrible shape in this country real soon if we don't stop the government from taking our money and reallocating it, giving it away to the lowest class in America which is happening at an alarming rate today.

He was right when he said that. So the problem is/was both Bush and Obama. Not just Bush or Obama.
